Pai Gow Poker

Pai gow poker is a variation of the Chinese domino game pai gow. Pai gow poker is commonly referred to as simply "pai gow", which is wrong, as "pai gow" alone is a completely separate game. Pai Gow Poker is played with a standard 52-card deck and one joker. The joker can be used as an ace or a wild card to complete a straight, a flush or straight flush only. The game is played on a blackjack-size table with up to six players and a banker. The players are playing against the banker. In most cases the casino acts as the banker although players can chose to bank the game if they wish to. This would require having enough money to cover all of the other player’s bets. The casino collects a five- percent commission on all winning bets.

To start the game, the players make their bets according to the table minimum. The dealer shuffles the cards and deals out seven stacks containing seven cards. This is done no matter how many players there are. The Banker shakes a cup containing three dice to determine who gets the first hand.

The player looks at their seven cards and sets them into a two-card hand and a five-card hand. There is a place marked on the table to place your hands. The two-card hand is placed in front and the five-card hand is placed behind it. If both of your hands beat the Banker’s two hands you win. If one of your hands beats the Bankers and one loses it is a push and there are no winners. If either of your hands has the exact same value as the Banker’s hand it is a tie, which is called a copy and the Banker wins. If the Banker’s two hands beats both of your hands you lose.

Pai Gow Poker Tips: Take a Break

If you feel like you are playing less than your best, take a break from the table. If you sit too long, you run the risk of going on tilt, a term used for players that have “lost it”, the “it” being perspective. Going on tilt causes players to make poor decisions and to bet far more money than they can afford to lose.

The danger of going on tilt is particularly strong at card game and casino websites because there are fewer things to distract you from your game. Stay present while at play and walk away when you lose perspective, become bored or get tired.

Ultimately, whether you lose or win Pai Gow Poker isn’t the only point of playing (though it’s a big one). It’s as much about your enjoyment of the game. Use the above Pai Gow Poker tips to improve both your wins and your gaming experience.

Pai Gow Poker Rules

Bonus Pai Gow Poker is a poker game in casinos where you enter a home poker game. The game plays exactly like poker and no house has so much as an edge, as it does in other games they offer. One of the main reasons for this advantage is reduced to the fact that the player is playing against the dealer and not against the house. In theory each player has two chances to win with each bet you make.

The game is very interesting as it is played with a deck of 53, using your standard deck of 52 with a Joker more at stake. The Joker is used specifically for making hands like a flush, straight, straight flush and a royal flush. If that card is not used to make one of those hands then be used as an ace.

The game begins with the player making an ante then after that the player is dealt seven cards face up. Then the cards must be separated in a hand of five cards and a 2-card hand. The 5 card hand must consist of the best 5 cards. For example, 5-6-9-JJAK, in this scenario the AKJJ-9 is used in the hand of 5 cards to leave the 5-6 2-card hand. After that you have the option to make a bonus bet. The dealer will turn up their cards and if your hitting your cards then you will win the bet based on a table and the same goes for the bonus bet.

The bonus table, for example, would pay 2-1 for a straight five cards, while a 7-card flush pay 8000-1 odds. The bonus bet uses all seven letters so you have more options to your hands. More information about Pai Gow Poker.
